Be Wary of WeirWeb Deceit

Being infected by adware like WeirWeb is bad enough, what with its slew of unsolicited advertisements and illicit tracking of your browsing habits, but what is the deal with programs like this packing along truly malicious applications like backdoor Trojans? Talk about actions that give all advertisers a bad name.

I can understand the desire to advertise, don’t get me wrong. And while I may not appreciate modern methods of doing so, I’m not going to get too hot under the collar about it. After all, remedying adware’s effect of slowing my processing speed down is often as simple as going into Add/Remove programs and uninstalling the offending application. That being said, it’s another story entirely when a program like WeirWeb has the gall to infect my computer with a Trojan, and a backdoor Trojan at that.

Backdoor Trojans, also known as Remote Access Trojans, are well deserving of their RAT acronym. The RAT associated with WeirWeb is known as altpayV2.exe, and it is capable of a nearly unlimited number of nasty behaviors, once installed and fully running. Because a RAT allows an unknown third party to gain full administrative access to your computer, all of your sensitive personal information is compromised. Your bank accounts, credit cards, and passwords are readily available to that remote server and your computer is now a machine that can be used by that third party to spread spam and more malicious software to anyone you were in contact with. Worse yet, you may not even know that you have been infected with a backdoor Trojan like altpayV2.exe because its code may not even be detectable.

Obviously, if you are concerned that you have been infected by WeirWeb and their malevolent sidekick altpayV2.exe, you should take defensive maneuvers immediately. While in extreme cases these maneuvers may entail the need to completely reformat your hard drive, at the very least you can start protecting yourself by downloading a quality spyware removal program such as Spyzooka. Spyzooka is guaranteed to remove 100% of all malicious software on your computer, and they have 24 hour customer support standing at the ready to help you with any unforeseen problems. The first step in determining whether or not you are infected by WeirWeb and altpayV2.exe is to get a free scan here: http://www.spyzooka.com. Don’t wait around. Villainy could be slipping in your backdoor this very moment.

Do Away With AureateRadiate

AureateRadiate was one of the first pieces of adware to make the scene. This piece of work has been installed on over 30 million computers. The original name of the adware was Aureate, but it later changed to Radiate. Now the names are interchangeable and used by over 500 “advertising supported” affiliates. AureateRadiate deserves the name spyware for many reasons.

There’s always the obvious – sending personal information from the end users computer back to a main server for exploitation. This type of privacy invasion can include anything from aggressive advertisements and pop ups to credit card theft or identity theft. It really depends on what the advertising affiliate specializes in. AureateRadiate doesn’t do much research on just who they are doing business with. Even if they did, I don’t know if they would care.

AureateRadiate does more than just spy. At this point, it’s just about deserves the ranking of Trojan. It comes in through the back door secretly. The users Internet channel is used without knowledge or permission. It goes through the trouble of creating a masterminded program that won’t go away even when it’s uninstalled. Actually, AureateRadiate commands the hosting software to leave it there even when the hosting software is uninstalled.

This one is not easy to get rid of. If you are tech savvy, you might want to try manual removal. For me, I just don’t have the time to remove every piece of spyware I find on my computer. Like many people these days, my laptop is my livelihood. I use the Internet for everything from shopping, to communicating with my bosses, and even online classes. I’m too busy to remove things after I notice them.

My best advice to you is to find a good anti-spyware program. For just $29.95, I found a program that offers a 24 hour removal guarantee. The customer service is unrivaled. To scan your computer and see if you have AureateRadiate on your computer, click here.

My Brother’s Surfing Habits Meets Up With UdavSearch

Porn is a billion dollar a year industry and UdavSearch is adware designed to “help” people find all of the porn they could ever want. UdavSearch creates pop-ups on an infected computer even when the browser is not on.

Luckily I have not personally got UdavSearch on my machine, but I use a malware removal program that is 100% guaranteed to protect my computer. My brother on the other hand ended up getting his laptop infected with UdavSearch and was totally freaked out. He called me in a panic saying he needed my help before his wife found out and started to complain about his surfing habits.

The whole time I was waiting for him to come over with his laptop I could not stop laughing. I know how she is, to think about her pacing the house, huffing and puffing, made me laugh so hard that I almost passed out.

When he finally got to my house I realized that he was relying on a virus protection program to remove malware. In some cases, that’s ok, but with UdavSearch most programs don’t give you any protection, because UdavSearch is so new that most programs don’t even know about it.

I quickly realized that he had all kinds of other security issues on his laptop; probably do to his surfing habits. UdavSearch is usually bundled with other types of malware or adware; these other disruptive programs usually have self-replicating aspects that prevent total removal of UdavSearch.

It did not take me long to help my brother get UdavSearch off of his computer. I just installed a malware removal program that I knew was 100% guaranteed to get rid of it. After a couple of minutes it was gone, as well as a dozen other types of malware that his virus protection missed.

I do not think that getting UdavSearch on his computer will change my brothers surfing habits. But I do know he has got a malware removal program that is guaranteed to remove programs like UdavSearch 100% of the time, which will save him from future arguments with his wife.

HomepageProtector — Adware And BHO All Rolled Into One

I had an experience recently with a program called HomepageProtector, that I would have liked to never experience. When the pop-ups started I hit the web to do some research. I found that HomepageProtector was both adware and browser helper object.

Adware is a program that was written to assist advertisers in getting their advertisements directly to you, usually through the means of pop-ups, but also in the form of pop-unders, banner ads, and floating advertisements. Adware programs are known to hog your computer’s resources. This includes both your processing power and your bandwidth and leads to a slower computer and Internet. Adware often gets on your computer because it is part of a software bundle. That means that you intend to download and install one program, but instead get extra stuff beyond the program you really wanted.

Browser helper objects, also called BHOs, usually take the form of toolbars, but are also known to not show up at all. They usually look like an added search bar when they appear as a toolbar. Browser helper objects are known to change your Internet Explorer settings, including both your start page and default search page, as well as hijacking your search results. It is rare that a browser helper object is installed on its own. It is usually part of a bundle and is installed on your computer without you knowing about it until after the fact.

Removing HomepageProtector is not as easy as going to add/remove programs and uninstalling it. When you reboot your computer it will be back. To fully remove HomepageProtector you have to use an anti-spyware program. Sadly these programs are often unreliable, removing only 80-90% of an infection. I thought I would be stuck with HomepageProtector until I found http://www/spyzooka.com-spyware-removal-guarantee.htm. SpyZooka gives you a 100% removal guarantee. No other anti-spyware program out there even tries for 100%! I had to try it. So I downloaded, installed, and ran SpyZooka. It found and removed HomepageProtector. An added bonus is that SpyZooka will now protect my computer from future infections.

RuPorn – What a Name! More Malicious Adware

No doubt you have heard of adware programs such as RuPorn – you may even have them installed on your pc. Do you know the dangers they can really impose? Advertising software gets installed on your computer for certain purposes. Read this, and you will understand why you want to eliminate these types of software immediately.

Adware, or advertising software, is usually installed without your authorization. It sometimes comes through with other files that you intentionally download, but it can also be picked up at other websites you visit. The most common sign of software such as RuPorn are the aggravating pop-up ads, usually relevant to your online searches. You may also notice pop-under and banner advertisements.

Why do these ads appear to be related to what you search for while browsing? Because they are – purposely. Adware has the ability to track your online activities, which means it gathers information from your searches and the sites you visit. It knows what you are looking for, displays related ads to you, and hopes you will make a purchase.

What are some other symptoms that might indicate that you have advertising software on your pc? A slower computer, changed homepage, and changes in your browser are common occurrences. Adware can even cause your computer to crash if it carries a high threat level. Your private security and online business accounts may also be threatened, because these programs can gain access to private information. Passwords and other account information may be accessed, so your personal identity could actually be at risk.

What should you do if you believe you have adware programs such as RuPorn installed on your pc? Find a reputable anti-spyware software program. Be sure to find a good one, for some programs will not completely clean your pc with one scan. Good software will scan your pc for viruses and other threats, remove them, and restore your security. It will also restore your peace of mind!

HelpExpress Adware Can Only Hurt

Okay, so adware like HelpExpress is not necessarily harmful nor is it really illegal. Advertising software is allowed to install on your computer with or without your permission. Spam laws really don’t include much about adware. Theoretically, it is a harmless file that tracks information for marketers, so they can use the data to advertise. It works like the billboards of the Internet. HelpExpress generates pop-ups that include “helpful” computer advice.

I tend to look at adware like the “gateway” bug. It might not get you with the actual file, but it will expose you to all kinds of harmful tactics and software. HelpExpress tracks your information and reports it back to a main server. Invoca Group, Inc and Alset, Inc are affiliated with this program. It seems important to mention that all their phone lines have been down since at least November 2008. This tells me that the software is still around, but the creators are MIA.

It’s never a good sign when a piece of software is untraceable. This has Trojan written all over it. HelpExpress downloads automatically with Aveo Attune. Aveo Attune is an automated helpdesk program. The software is used by BestBuy, Direct TV, Earthlink, Amazon, and Hewlett Packard. HelpExpress runs silently in the background without your permission when you start up your computer. Again, another sure sign of malware behavior. Not to mention that this program generates incessant pop-ups with helpful computer advice.

The program needs to be removed immediately. I am a skeptic of anti-spyware programs because so many of them just don’t have the database to keep up with updates and definitions, but I recently found one with credentials including a Tucows 5 Cow Award. They are listed with the Better Business Bureau in good standing (trust me this is rare in anti-spyware software). They also guarantee 24 hour removal with contact information listed! For a free scan, you can click here to see if HelpExpress is not helping you.

Get DollarRevenue Away From You

There are so many adware programs out in cyber space these days and DollarRevenue is just another one. I think that every one of them should be destroyed. If you don’t know anything about adware or spyware programs, then read on. I’ll use DollarRevenue as an example.

DollarRevenue is an adware program. It isn’t the most vicious of them out there, but it is still a pain in the gallbladder. It is usually downloaded and installed without your knowledge and most definitely without your consent. DollarRevenue is either installed by a rogue website that you may happen upon, or it may be bundled in with something that you download from the Internet.

No matter how DollarRevenue gets installed on your computer, once it is installed it will start to harass you. DollarRevenue will register and install a tool bar into your browser. This tool bar will help DollarRevenue spy on you. It will monitor everything you do online. It will keep a record of every search that you do.

While you are online, DollarRevenue will do two things, and one of them is far worse than the other. DollarRevenue will randomly redirect your browser to its own website. This is bound to happen at the most inconvenient times. But what is even more inconvenient is how DollarRevenue will download more adware onto your computer without your consent. This will bog down your computer and make it work at snail-like speed.

So, if you get infected with DollarRevenue, what should you do? You should get an anti-spyware program that will remove it from your computer for you. But be careful which anti-spyware software you choose.

The best choice is SpyZooka. SpyZooka is the only anti-spyware software that is guaranteed to remove 100% of spyware from your computer, and that’s only one of the amazing things about SpyZooka. There’s no anti-spyware better than SpyZooka.

If you want to know if DollarRevenue has infected your computer, then you should click http://www.spyzooka.com so that SpyZooka can scan your computer for FREE!

When IE Host and Other Adware Programs Attack – Fight Back

Just like most adware, IEHost will have you running for cover trying to dodge the almighty pop ups.  This type of adware presents itself as an advertising program, which monitors your user habits and tracks your keystrokes.  The information is then sent back to the adware servers to create those annoying pop ups that make us all crazy.   You don’t have to seek shelter anymore, when IE Host and other adware programs attack — fight back and remove them from your computer, so you take control of your PC usage once again.

What is IE Host?

IE Host is a process that belongs to the software IEHost.exe.  It is normally installed in your C: /Windows/System32 folder.  The file size on Windows XP is approximately 159,744 bytes.   IEHost.exe is not actually in a Windows system file, so the program is not visible when you are searching for it.  Because IEHost is able to record your movements on your PC, it is viewed as dangerous and should be removed immediately.

Now that you know a little more about IE Host, let’s see if we can’t seek and destroy that bothersome adware with the help of SpyZooka.

How Does SpyZooka Work?

The developers are so sure that you will be happy with the results, that you can scan your PC for free.  Once you have scanned your PC, you will be amazed at how much “junk” is hanging around your hard drive.  Of course, you’ll want to remove it immediately, so proceed with the installation and follow the few easy steps to safely remove adware — not just IE Host, but all threats.  That’s right, all threats.   If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t cost you a thing.  With SpyZooka, you have no excuses.  We hate spyware, adware, and malware as much as you do and we want to help you get rid of it and keep it off.

The Animal Farmmext and Me

You may be infected with Farmmext. Did you know that? You probably didn’t but now you do. And if you aren’t infected with it now, then you are probably infected with some other type of adware or spyware. If you think that you have proper protection, then maybe you need to think again. Read on because your computer’s security depends on it.

I had an anti-spyware program and I thought that I didn’t need to worry about my computer’s safety anymore. But I was wrong. I got infected with Farmmext.

Needless to say, I was shocked when I started to get pop up ads. Farmmext had been installed on my computer and I didn’t even know it. I figured that it wasn’t a big deal because I had my anti-spyware program. I ran it but it said that I was free of infections.

I started to worry, especially when my computer started to slow down. I figured that Farmmext was downloading other adware programs onto my computer, though I didn’t know the program’s name at the time. All I knew was that I was getting ads for things that I liked, which meant that Farmmext had been spying on me. And I knew that my precious computer was slowing down. I also knew that those stupid pop up ads were really annoying!

I decided that I needed a new anti-spyware program. So I started searching. I came across SpyZooka and I was really impressed with their credentials. They even offered a free scan. Since they were members with the Better Business Bureau, I took them up on their free scan.

Boy, was I surprised. I had 27 infections!

I decided to buy SpyZooka because it was the only anti-spyware program that I could find that gave a 100% spyware removal guarantee. Plus, I liked the idea of their spyware seeking robot that searches the Internet for new threats. Now my computer is back to its normal self.

If you want to take advantage of SpyZooka’s free scan to see if you have Farmmext or any other spyware, click http://www.spyzooka.com.

ClickAlchemy is a Parasite

If you have been receiving pop up ads, then you may be infected with ClickAlchemy. There is no sensible reason to keep this program on your computer. There is nothing good about it. Removing it manually, however, can be dangerous, so you will need some help.

From the moment that ClickAlchemy is installed on your computer, your computer’s security is diminished. Since ClickAlchemy is installed secretly and without your permission, your computer’s security may have been compromised already. But once ClickAlchemy digs its claws into your system, the security is diminished even more.

Not only does ClickAlchemy monitor your browsing habits, but when it is connected to the Internet, it downloads advertisements. If you don’t happen to be connected to the Internet, ClickAlchemy will secretly connect to the Internet without your consent. In addition to downloading advertisements, ClickAlchemy may also download other adware programs.

The ads that ClickAlchemy downloads are then delivered to you in the form of pop up ads. As almost everybody already knows, pop up ads are extremely annoying and will drive you crazy. Not only will the pop up ads annoy you, but they will also cause your computer to work much slower than it should.

Because of these things, you need to get rid of ClickAlchemy as soon as you can. Leaving ClickAlchemy on your computer will only run it into the dirt. So, in order to save your computer from being overrun by pop up ads, you need to get an anti-spyware program.

Having an anti-spyware is much safer than trying to remove ClickAlchemy manually. And if you have SpyZooka, then you know that ClickAlchemy will be completely removed, along with any other adware or spyware that may be on your computer. Plus, after initial removal, your computer will be protected from future infections. SpyZooka is the only anti-spyware program that is guaranteed to remove 100% of spyware from your computer. The logical choice for spyware protection is SpyZooka.

If you want to know if your computer is infected with ClickAlchemy, click http://www.spyzooka.com for a free scan by SpyZooka.
